Australian Shepherd
Watson is Susanna’s right-hand helper in lessons, with thousands of hours under his belt safely guiding other dogs through their big feelings. He’s a quick study who loves learning new tricks, breezed through his therapy dog certification, and keeps the barnyard impressively free of intruders. He’s also got a soft side—Watson has helped raise multiple bottle-fed kittens and lambs, proving he’s as gentle as he is dependable.
Malinios/English Shepherd
He’s the kind of dog who wants to be as close as possible—if he could live under Susanna’s skin, he probably would. He would do just about anything for his frisbee and lives for Canicross, obstacle courses, hiking, and long runs alongside the bicycle. He’s trained in SAR as a cadaver dog and is simply waiting on his human to get his certification on the calendar.
German Shepherd
She loves making visiting dogs feel right at home—but she’s equally committed to letting any human who doesn’t live here know they are absolutely not on the guest list. She runs the barnyard with confidence, keeping the peace, breaking up squabbles, and making sure every animal stays where they’re supposed to be. She enforces plenty of rules…and, yes, she invented more than half of them herself.
German Shepherd
Zaida spent the first few years of her life tethered outside, so she came with some intense compulsive habits to work through. She still has more to learn, but Susanna is incredibly proud of how far she’s come. Zaida has learned to coexist peacefully with the barnyard crew and is surprisingly social with other animals now. She especially loves taking on a nurturing role—mothering puppies and kittens is her favorite job.
